Boy did we get snow

Boy did we ever get the snow. I haven't seen this much snow since I left South Dakota. But I am sure glad we don't get that much snow.

I love sitting at the window and watching it snow but that is all I like about it.

We had a couple of problems here two days before it snowed. The wind chill was about 5 degrees which we never get. Had my water running and guess what yea you got it the hot water froze. Husband was out of town and would not get in until the next night after dark. So my sweet daughter Anya's husband Joe fixed it for me. Steve(my 19 year old son) would of but he had school and than work right after. So you have to be thankful for those son-in-law's.

Snow is all gone for now but more on the way. At least that is what they say. So everyone please stay warm and hope you pipe's don't freeze.

Kevin's Quilt

Well Mom finally got another quilt out of her list done. This one is Kevin's quilt (My sister Barbara's oldest son). It turned out really nice. Sure hope he likes it. Mon only had this quilt in her frame for about 3 to 4 weeks. If she keeps this up she will be done in no time at all.

I hope everyone is staying warm.

Well we have finially finished these two baby quilts. Now we just have one more that needs to get done. Than we can go onto other baby quilts that we don't to hurry to get done.

Come back soon and I will have another quilt finished by mom. She has just pulled a quilt out of the frame and put another in.

I hope everyone is doing good in this cold weather.

Animal Baby Blanket

This is a panel that my sister Jeanette from Inch worm fabrics. The panel was for a soft baby book. Mom and I decided to make this into a baby blanket.

We would love making more baby blankets just to have around when someone has a baby than we would not have to hurry and get one done.

But every time we get close to having one done there is someone who is going to have a baby.

It seems like we are back in the baby boom era again. We have about 3 more blankets that have to be made than we can make them for a little stock pile.

I am back

Well here is the first quilt that I have finished in the New Year. I started this quilt in Dec and decided to finish the one in the big frame.

Sorry I have not posted in awhile but the New Year hit me with a bang. The first week I was sick and when I thought I was over it, it said bang I am back. Well I hope that I have gotten rid of it now.

But I did not let it get the best of me. Mom and I have 2 nice size plastic tubs full of scraps. Well we got a stripping machine. I put it to work and have one of those tubs stripped.

I also put 2 baby quilts together and put another border on another one. I will show you those as mom and I get them quilted.

Back to the strips....... Well as some of you know my sister Margaret at average quilter has quilted our mothers round robin. She did not put the binding on. And mom got that quilt today in the mail. First thing we did was look at the strips and found the binding for it. Now all she has to do is put it on.

Mom also has a quilt she is almost finished with so please stay tune and don't give up on us. I will try to be better.

Jim's Quilt

Mom has finally finished Jim's Quilt. Now she has all of her kids done and she can put all of her time into the rest of the grand kids. It turned out really nice.

I am done YEAH

It has taken me a year to quilt this quilt. I gave it to my daughter Anya for Christmas. She just loves it. And I just love having it out of my frame. I have done other quilts while this one was in the frame. Now onto the next project.
