First Quilts

I don't have any pictures of my first quilts and I don't know if my first son still has his. But the first quilt I can remember is I took some different blue material and made 8 inch squares (I think) and the I tied it. It turn out cute so I decided to make a brown one for son number 2. I know son number 2 does not have his anymore. That was about 20 years ago.

Well when I first started sewing quilts son 1 told me he did not want a new quilt just that one fixed. I told him that he was going to get a new one. So he got a new one. If he still has it I will get him to take pictures of it.

After I did those I went into cross stitching. Than about 4 to five years ago may be longer I picked up quilting not tying my quilts anymore.

I missed out on all the quilting when I was growing up. Yes mom quilted but everyone was so much older than I was.(well 6 to 8 years). I was just the little girl in the way. But now I am not. I have so enjoyed quilting and piecing with my mom and sister(if we don't do it together we at least talk about it). It is so nice to have something in common with them now. Boy life sure is different when you get older.

Have a nice day and enjoy your family. They are the best.

I don't have pictures of mine either. It just wasn't something that was done so much 20 years ago, I think. Not like digital where a quick picture doesn't involve getting film developed.

I think it was more like 8 or 9 years ago. Bc I know you were quilting around the time I got married, 9 years ago.
